There’s a simpler way, Jack.

Are people really so stupid?

If people don’t want to pay exorbitant interest rates on credit cards, they should STOP USING THEIR CREDIT CARDS!

We do not need the government to legislate yet another aspect of business.  No bank is forcing any one to get or use credit cards.

This was actually something a couple of National Post columnists said. At first hearing, I was actually okay with his announcement, and then I started thinking about what it would actually mean if that policy were enacted. The benefit really doesn’t outweigh the cost, unless Jack’s endgame IS to limit the amount of credit available to people.
