Just as I suspected.

 

If I were a  physicist, I would absolutely be an experimental physicist.

People who do theoretical science these days are usually very comfortable with computer code, which leaves them better prepared to deal with our modern computerized world than experimentalists, whose preferred mode of solution is likely to involve a big hammer.

Yep.  I find that the brute force method works quickly and efficiently.  Even with math and computer problems.
