Are all those who oppose the Ground Zero mosque islamophobes?

August 26, 2010

Not even close.

“I fear that over time, it will cultivate a fundamentalist version of the Muslim faith, embracing those who share such beliefs and hating those who do not,” she wrote in a Washington Post op-ed. “To the supporters of this new Islamic cultural center, I must ask: Build your ideological monument somewhere else, far from my mother’s grave, and let her rest.”

—  Neda Bolourchi of Los Angeles, a native of Iran whose mother was on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center

And Pajamas Media has an essay from Abdur-Rahman Muhammed, “an actual moderate Muslim”.

The underlying problem in this bitter controversy is that Muslims in America suffer a deserved trust deficit, wherein they are seen as a foreign and dangerous element. Perhaps if the $100 million being spent on this mosque were used to build, say, a hospital, this perception would begin to change.

You sure are ignorant…for the last time the mosque (Islamic center actually) is not being built AT ground zero,…in the civilized world if something is not where it is we will not say that it is there…it is TWO BLOCKS AWAY FROM GROUND ZERO…so do not call it the ground zero mosque…got it?

“RABBI Jonathon Klein of Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE) pointed to the project’s multiple uses. “This mosque issue is not even a mosque issue. It’s about a community center,” Klein said. “The Jewish community has a history of wonderful Jewish community centers all over this country, without barriers to their existence. Why is it that the Muslim community should be scapegoated at this time?” “

An engine from one of the planes that the Islamic terrorists flew into the World Trade Center towers landed at the Burlington Coat Factory site. Therefore, that site is part of Ground Zero.

The mosque is at ground zero – it is part of ground zero…because the landing gear from one of the planes that was hijacked and flown into the World Trade center in the name of Allah (crap be upon him), fell into the Burlington Coat Factory.

So why don’t you call the factory the GROUND ZERO Burlington coat factory??? and please mind your language, you would never ever hear a Muslim insult Jesus (may peace of blessings of Allah be upon him) so why cant you have a civil tongue in your mouth while carrying out a discussion or are you incapable of that?

If you’re looking for a respectful tone regarding gods, “holy” books, and self-proclaimed prophets, you are definitely in the wrong place.
