I would refuse to get on the plane.

August 3, 2010

Air Canada allowed two Muslim women to board an international flight without showing their faces to prove their identity. Actually, we don’t know that they were women.  They were dressed as women and carrying passports which identified them as women but we just don’t know because the gate attendant DID NOT MATCH THEIR PASSPORT PHOTOS TO THEIR FACES!  WTF?

Were they asked to show their faces at the check-in counter?  Based on the report of an airport employee, probably not. We’ve always had to have everybody available for check-in with their passports.  Why are these women exempt?  Safety should not be compromised just to be politically correct.

What should other travelers do?  Would you get on the plane?

All passengers regardless of sex or religion should wear Burka’s(s?)before boarding planes, entering banks, or ball games, just to level the playing field.
