More from the medical journal “Duh”

May 26, 2010

Depressed people eat more chocolate than non-depressed people.

Gosh.  Maybe that’s because the media tells us that chocolate will make us feel better.  Feeling tired?  Have a Snickers.  Feeling down?  Treat yourself to a chocolate bar.  Is your friend sad?  Take her some chocolates.

The next study proposed is to see if eating chocolate causes depression.  Seriously.

Maybe I should start applying for research funding.  It really doesn’t seem that difficult to obtain.

I did a study once that showed drinking large amounts of booze made me very popular with the ladies. A later study showed that being very popular with women results in not getting any phone numbers, a headache and it’s all caused by global warming. I will repeat this experiment tomorrow to validate my findings.

Somewhere there is a government funded researcher looking to collaborate on just such a study.

I just heard government funding for my Saturday night and please tell me the “researcher” you speak of if a 25 year old Korean woman with librarian glasses and thing for alcoholics?
