It’s not really “guerrilla” knitting if you call the press and have a photographer accompany you.

    hahaha! my thoughts exactly. besides, a local group of knitters have been doing this kind of thing for over a year, so she’s definitely not the first in Saskatoon to do it, just the first to call the media.

    Michele, the very definition of guerrilla marketing encapsulates this article – a right place and right time situation where the reporter drove by and it caught his attention. Believe it or not that’s what the media does – they stop when there is a story in the making and report on it. And Lexi, perhaps you should read the article again, this Sana Kenshil girl does not claim to be the first in Saskatoon to do it. Rather, this reporter had previously written an article on yarn bombing and the reason Sana’s yarn bombing escapade caught his attention that Monday evening because it was the first time he had seen it take place in Saskatoon. Get your facts straight people.
