Water out, water in.

March 22, 2010

I find the “extreme water saver” profiled on newstalk650.com to be amusing.  Adina Siegfried of Saskatoon is using less than 25 L of water per day via sponge baths and infrequent toilet flushing.

I’ll say here exactly what I told the plumber who tried to sell me a new “low flush” toilet that I didn’t need.  Water conservation isn’t really much of a concern here.  Our water comes out of the river.  We use the water then it goes into the sewer, to the sewage treatment plant, and back into the river.

I’ll stick with my hot showers, thanks.
