Saturday Night Teleprompter

March 21, 2010

Most of the skits on SNL are just not funny and the few that have potential are ruined by the actors reading their lines.

I don’t remember this being an issue in the earlier years of SNL.  Did they even have teleprompters?  Obviously, I’m not an actor but it seems to me that if you had your lines memorized then you could concentrate on actually being funny.  And, if everyone rehearsed their memorized lines, perhaps someone would notice the skits that are just stupid and change them.

Hey.  Maybe someone could suggest that Obama watch SNL to see just how horrible it is to watch someone literally read directly and awkwardly from a teleprompter.

I happen to agree with you. I’m glad somebody else noticed.

Obama and his Teleprompter, lol. Now the Republicans are making wisecracks in the primaries about Obama’s prompters, while reading the wisecracks from a teleprompter.
