Happy Darwin Day!

February 12, 2010

Today is the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth.  151 years ago he published On the Origin of Species in which he laid out the evidence for his theory of natural selection and evolution.

“I have called this principle, by which each slight variation, if useful, is preserved, by the term Natural Selection”

How to celebrate?  We’re going to attend an International Darwin Day party.  You can find one in your community by checking the official website.

I’m also wearing my new favorite shirt while I read to the children.
