Grammar Lessons from Entertainment Weekly

January 18, 2010

I read an EW article this afternoon about Jimmy Kimmel’s appearance on Jay Leno’s show.  The topic was whether Kimmel went to far in making fun of Leno on his own show.  Personally, I thought Kimmel was funny and Leno was quite stupid to have him on in the first place.  What did the people commenting on the article think?

They think that the EW writers need to pay more attention to their grammar and spelling.  Specifically, they recommended remedial lessons in the use of to/too/two and then the “discussion” deteriorated into a fight about the appropriateness of such complaints.

Quite amusing.
