Obama The Punk Bully

December 27, 2009

He’s like the person who makes a nasty remark and then says, “I was just joking, man”.

At his Arizona State University commencement speech last Wednesday, Mr. Obama noted that ASU had refused to grant him an honorary degree, citing his lack of experience, and the controversy this had caused. He then demonstrated ASU’s point by remarking, “I really thought this was much ado about nothing, but I do think we all learned an important lesson. I learned never again to pick another team over the Sun Devils in my NCAA brackets. . . . President [Michael] Crowe and the Board of Regents will soon learn all about being audited by the IRS.”

Hilarious.  Not.

You know how it works! They should’ve gave him the honorary. It wouldn’t have worked out any different with Bush or Bush’s Daddy. But they would’ve given Bush Junior the honorary – Right! See how things work out when you’re elected due to dynasty rather than democracy. Yes, I wrote that.

Thanks for the good read that incited me to comment.

Actually, I don’t think anyone should receive Honorary degrees. It’s stupid.

Honourary degrees are entirely legitimate in some cases. Take a high school drop out that builds a fortune five hundred company and give them a degree in business managment or some such thing fine…but most honourary degrees are conferred as some type of decoration and many times have a very intangible connection to the skills of the recipient.

In short, there are entirely understandable reasons for conferring a degree on some one without them having received a formal education for it. Many times however, there is no good reason what so ever and it makes a mockery of what is generally a very good idea.

“citing his lack of experience”….I have to laugh. This, on the heels of the Nobel commettee handing out the peace prize. Who would have thought ASU had more integrity than the Nobel boys. I’m sure it was Bushs’ fault.

The Nobel committee is credible when it comes to political issues? Really?

You really believe they are credible? Wow, and here I was being sarcastic. Oh well, I guess there’s one in every batch.

Zach … Fritz … I think that you both need a sarc tag on your comments.

Unless I’m reading the comments completely wrong, you actually both agree that the Nobel committee is NOT credible.

They are fighting amongst themselves…and they agree with each other.
