I was a remote control.

November 16, 2009

Our children are spoiled and they don’t even realize how good they have it.

My mom didn’t need remote controls.  She had three children.  If she wanted the channel changed, she told one of us to do it.  Is she wanted the volume adjusted, she told one of us to do it.  When we had to drive somewhere, one of the kids closed the garage door.  When we got home, one of the kids got out of the car and ran to open the garage door for mom.  This happened in hot weather and cold weather and rainy weather.  Don’t want to open the door for mom?  Tough beans.  You’re a kid.  She’s the boss.

I am too nice to the children.
