Nobel Hopenchange Prize

October 11, 2009

Andrew Breitbart‘s take:

The Thesis: The Nobel Peace Prize means nothing. It is now just another paragon of political correctness manifested on the world stage. It’s the international equivalent to “Student of the Week” or any other unearned, self-esteem-based prize.

I have to completely agree.  How is someone given an international award for “peace” based on what people think will be accomplished in the future?  Perhaps they could change the name to the Noble “Hopenchange” Prize — an award for best rhetoric.

Why did Obama really receive this award?  Because he’s a very left wing liberal.  Because he gives great speeches (if they are well-rehearsed).  Because he criticizes America.  Most importantly … because he’s not George W. Bush.

Check out the President’s reaction when he learned that he had won the Nobel Prize.

    Best Regards

I don’t know why you complain. Now, we can just give out athletic trophies at the start of the season, based on effort. Perfect. Stanley Cup in November, rather than July, or August, or whatever it is now.

Think of the time it will save!

Hey … can we just give out those Olympic medals now before the weather gets too cold?

LMAO – love this Michele – Noel “Hopenchange”!! ROTFL
My husband very much likes the other idea of handing out the Stanley Cup – if each team gets a turn then his team the Maple Leafs would finally get one after 30 plus years! Yipee!
