I know who should teach about the Bible.

August 17, 2009

Texas is now requiring all public schools to include teaching about the Bible.

That’s a great idea.  Schools should include teaching about all major religious texts and I know exactly who should teach it.

An atheist.  Seriously.

That way every student would be exposed to unbiased discussion of and comparisons between the various religious texts.  They could start with ancient Greek mythology and work their way up through the Book of Mormon.  Students could draw timelines with historical events correlated with the religious stories written concurrently.  They could follow various themes and stories through the texts to examine how the stories change with each new prophet or messiah.  Heck.  I’d take that class.

And don’t forget to include a bit about people who don’t believe any of it.

Nope – sorry athiests are completely as biased as any religious persons.. hence why every athiest I have ever met feels the need to mock my God and religious text – even though i have never mocked them for their lack of belief.
Best line I ever read ” Athiests dont believe God exist so does that mean God doesnt believe athiests exist??”
